Ohhh shit! This is one of my favorites right now. This is one version of Sonny and The Sunsets’ “Too Young to Burn”. This lesser known version was recorded at Daytrotter Studios in my home state of Illinois. Unlike the slower acoustic version that appears on their recent LP, this recording has a certain poppy, groovy vibe that can only be delivered by Sonny’s electric perfection. Get it while you can!

FYF was amazing and now I’m here. Jeff the Brotherhood, a Memphis band (and brothers), has been attracting a lot of attention with their cool brand of garage rock, as well as their original styles and tastes. Simple, powerful, and them being them. Do yourself a favor and check out the music video to this track, as well. You will not be disappointed.

Alright, this is the deal. It’s hot as balls out here on the coast and after a few foggy months it’s finally starting to feel like summer. So in celebration of these summer days, I give you an undiscovered track from my secret stash, packed full with twangy riffs and lo-fi magic. The group is Hot Spa, the track is Kiola Beach.

Pure gold today from Cee-Lo Green. It isn’t the most lyrically solid track, but it feels damn good. If the voice sounds familiar, you may remember such songs as “Crazy” from his other project, Gnarles Barkely. This song speaks for itself and it is pretty awesome. “AND I’M SAYIN’ FUCK YOU”.

This is a take on the popular and dare I say overrated The Drums song, “Let’s Go Surfing”. Same track vocal with a more familiar beat and rhythem from The Raveonettes. I must say, this is more up my alley than the original track. Decide for yourself. Oh, and turn it up LOUD.

One of the many new bands I’m stoked on coming out of LA, this is Foster the People. Formed just last year and quickly gaining a lot of much-deserved hype about their single, this groovy anthem, Pumped up Kicks. Stay up.

Im gonna be posting a song a day for the rest of my life. OR until this shit is beat.

I’m starting my blogging career with a band out of Denver, CO. Probably my favorite band right now. They only have a few tracks released, but are coming through with one of the best sounds my ears have heard in a while. Similar to Best Coast, but better! Be on the look out.

TENNIS w/ Marathon.
